What glues in miniatures and dioramas?

The glues I use in miniatures and dioramas and why I chose them.

The glues in miniatures and dioramas that I use are mainly three. I did a lot of testing to find the right glue for different situations. In dioramas, the glue I use most frequently is the classic Vinavil. I also buy it in different brands but the result does not change, the solution seems to be the same whatever brand you buy. I only noticed one difference in this glue, for example the water resistant version actually seems to have a certain advantage when I have to build miniatures where contact with water is then required. But since I didn’t have a “mathematical” certainty, in these situations I preferred to use a second glue which would be Bostik Max Repair.

This glue is very strong and glues almost everything. The appearance is transparent but shiny, and sometimes this does not suit dioramas which are usually opaque. I use Bostik mainly in dynamic miniatures where there is a need for strong anchoring even with different materials. The complete drying time is approximately 4/5 hours, but after half an hour it is already anchored. Another of the glues in miniatures and dioramas that I use is Super Attak. This cyanoacrylate glue is quick-setting and when I need to proceed quickly with a job, I put a small drop on top of the freshly applied vinavil.

Upon contact it sets very quickly, this allows me to continue the work, but the vinavil still has to dry and as you well know the drying time is very long. These are just the three glues that I use in both miniatures and dioramas. I use other glues occasionally. For example, in cases where I have to glue plastic to plastic then I use Tamiya glues. Depending on the type of work I have to do, I can vary the Cement with orange, green or black cap. But in any case I don’t like adhesives that run, that leave marks or other things that then become a second job having to hide the imperfections caused by the adhesive.
