My participation in the modelling fair with dioramas on display
I participated with some dioramas in the exhibition “Verona Model Show” from 19 to 26 May 2024.
The exhibition was organized by AMS, “Associazione Modellismo Storico Verona”.
The exhibition was located in a large room in the Palazzo della Gran Guardia, a historic building of considerable interest and very beautiful to visit. Admission was free and the organizers were very friendly. The models exhibited focused on models of airplanes, ships, sailing ships, vintage and racing cars. In addition to these models, figurines of historical and fantasy characters were also on display. A growing modeling movement among young people who reproduce with great skill scenes and figurines as well as dioramas of fantasy worlds inspired by games and film sagas. Really very interesting even if it is not my field.
For me it was a considerable effort because I no longer like traveling and for this occasion I went three Sundays in a row to Verona.
The exhibition, according to the experts, had a fair amount of public success and I personally noticed that there was a certain turnout of public. Many modelers participated in this event and at the end of the exhibition there was the award ceremony. I received an award as a Memorial Manu diorama.
I was happy to have participated in this well-organized event and perhaps I will participate again in a new modeling fair with dioramas when they do it again, perhaps in 2026.
