Diorama of a village in Tuscany
Diorama of a village in Tuscany created through a photo from the web
I created this diorama of a village in Tuscany thanks to an image I found on the web. I’ve been traveling around Tuscany but I haven’t yet been able to find out which village it is. The appearance of this village is suggestive because it is built on different floors and conveys three-dimensionality and perspective well. A diorama that does not take up much space given its small size.

Project
As previously mentioned, the project was born from a photo that I found on the web and therefore I stuck to the proportions based on the only photo I had available. It was not easy to reconstruct this landscape in miniature, because the perspective on the photo deceived me and I had to do many tests before starting the work.
Materials
Material used in addition to the usual expanded polyester, there is the cardboard with which I made the chairs and the table on the balcony, very little plastic and various materials.
Diorama of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana which reproduces the main square of the historic village
Diorama of the Carrara marble quarries in polyester and real marble debris, mechanical means purchased online and appropriately aged.
