Miniature tannery leather fleshing machine
Miniature leather fleshing machine in tannery dynamic model
This miniature tannery skin fleshing machine also includes the environment where it is usually placed. The machinery is housed high up, as in this case, on a masonry mezzanine which allows the treated leather to slide into a container. The leather in this case has just come out of the drum after the first tanning and is slippery and smelly with parts of the meat still attached to the skin. The machine precisely manages to remove the parts of meat that are still present on the side of the crust. The blades are very sharp and the skin held by rollers presses on the roller with the blades, removing the remnants of meat. Once the operation has been carried out, the leftovers fall through a chute into an external tank, while the leather falls from a chute to end up in a container.

Project
Dynamic model of a leather fleshing machine. This machine fascinated me a lot, even if going to take photos was not exactly pleasant as the working environment is quite smelly and dirty. But what fascinated me about this machine is the size and strength it releases. A miniature that gave me a lot of satisfaction in the research of the materials and mechanisms that compose it.
Materials
The masonry structure is made of expanded polyester, the machinery is made of expanded PVC. The rollers are made of plastic and the blades are made of tin. A white silicone rubber tube is the roller that holds the skin. Other materials such as wood and brass are present in the model, powered by 6 volt batteries.
Fully functional miniature roller coater. A model suitable for display for offices and companies.
Leather tannery spray model. A working miniature of the spray that is used in the tannery, great for display.
